The words that keep ringing in my ears are those of Deepthroat, "follow the money".

It's true that the whole view of events changes when you look to see who benefits. If our National defenses are so weak that 4 commercial planes can be hijacked and off course for over an hour and no defense systems can help, what do we pay the Pentagon?

When the military complex isn't able to defend the Nation's Capitol or core operations center from a band of Bozos with box cutters why call it defense?

Changing the name from the War Department never did alter the mission of corporate expansion.

All the money trails lead back to Wall Street's elite banksters. The CIA was created by Dulles by plucking the Yale Bonesmen and the Brown Brothers Harriman minions.

From the outset the corporations were criminal in supplying Hitler's forces and found guilty of Trading with the Enemy. But a CLASSIFIED stamp comes with a blanket of protection that makes them Teflon Dons with a pardon or protection guaranteed.

Smedley Darlington Butler (July 30, 1881 – June 21, 1940), nicknamed
"The Fighting Quaker" and "Old Gimlet Eye", was a Major General in the
U.S. Marine Corps and, at the time of his death, the most decorated
Marine in U.S. history.

In his 1935 book, War Is a Racket, Butler presented an exposé and
trenchant condemnation of the profit motive behind warfare.

His views on the subject are well summarized in the following passage
from a 1935 issue of "the non-Marxist, socialist" magazine, Common
Sense – one of Butler's most widely quoted statements:

"I spent 33 years and four months in active military service and
during that period I spent most of my time as a high class muscle man
for Big Business, for Wall Street and the bankers.

In short, I was a racketeer, a gangster for capitalism. I helped make
Mexico and especially Tampico safe for American oil interests in 1914.

I helped make Haiti and Cuba a decent place for the National City Bank
boys to collect revenues in.

I helped in the raping of half a dozen Central American republics for
the benefit of Wall Street.

I helped purify Nicaragua for the International Banking House of Brown
Brothers in 1902-1912.

I brought light to the Dominican Republic for the American sugar
interests in 1916.

I helped make Honduras right for the American fruit companies in 1903.

In China in 1927 I helped see to it that Standard Oil went on its way
unmolested.

Looking back on it, I might have given Al Capone a few hints. The best
he could do was to operate his racket in three districts. I operated
on three continents.
