Where's My Seed? CBS censorship Video disappears, again!!

So much for journalism and free press!!

advertisement

It's understandable that Newsvine has technical problems from time to time. It's obvious to most of us every move brings with it glitches and bugs.

Twice today I have seeded the story of CBS editing the interview with Katie Couric where they substituted McCains reply that was factually inaccurate with a different reply.

As annoying as it is to have a corporate media that spins the news, it's unthinkable to see the efforts to call that to public attention vanish from the pages of Newsvine.

While this was twice an effort to seed the claims that the media is biased toward Obama while evidence of covering up for McCain vanish, make it impossible to wait for whatever the problem is to resolve itself.

The media is not biased for Obama, nor are they biased toward McCain, they are intent on keeping a misinformed public complacent as retroactive immunity is put in place so this corrupt, bipartisan crime ring takes the last bit of Constitutional freedom from the overmedicated public.

What's this?
Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

Here's the CBS transcript, which we can only hope is not edited to match the video.

The Rebeller blog has the video of McCain's edited interview, the original pair of seeds that vanished!!

Folks, most people here on NEWSVINE, as class liberals and neocon class apologists, still do not get it, that the trivialities between liberals and conservatives, only services the corporate, class views of the status quo, through these two class ideologies. The ideological war is not between tweedum idiot, McCain, and tweedlee class shill and appeaser, Obama, but between their corporate and imperial views, reproduced by the political class and ideological classs, the corporate media, which corrupts democracy, reality and the history, through their class, corporate filter, and the rest of us.

Thank you Pamela for this info. This is happening more often ...and I know it's no glitch.
Url's links coming back with a page that reads "Whoops ,sorry ,that page is no longer available!" Like it's funny or something. But then when you go to another site with the sane Url, voila ,it's there.

wooblah212

I just posted a pretty big article about the Media and Obama and McCain and it disappeared too. I published it and it's not on my removed list or anything.

People ,have back ups. Even your comments.Open up another page to "Word" or notepad on Yahoo mail and copy and paste "before" you post comment or article. Then ,also publish it to Blogger or somewhere.
Copy and paste it from the html format page to save you time and frustration.
So then if it disappears you can quickly copy and Paste it again.

Now the Question is ,"Who's doing this?" I've got my suspicions.
"WHY?" Why else!! We are revealing the games and tactics that these people are using to deceive the public...and they are desperate.Desperate enough to take these measures.
It's happened to me several times on this site.
But it has also happened when I attempt to save an image that is controversial.Such as the image of "Blackwater" in New Orleans. Save the image to my desktop and then it's there.Try to upload it to another site and it comes up scrambled.
I go back to my desktop and it's scrambled there too.
I go back to the url I got it from and the link is gone!
I hurry and find the image on some other site and download it and then put it to disc and voila ,I have it.Hahahaha.
Time consuming ,but well worth it.
Just finished copy and pasting this comment to another site.Took two minutes. Not even that.20 secs.Hahahaha.

Eric: I disagree Katie Couric is paid millions of dollars and now we know she is nothing more than a Barbie Doll who has disgraced herself and her network. Remember when Dan Rather walked off the set when CBS decided that a tennis match at the U.S. Open was more important than the evening news broadcast. There's the difference Eric. Couric has been exposed as an out and out fraud.

So now that it's obvious that the the url is not actually dead that can only mean one or another ,other thing. This site is either being hacked into or the problem is with MSNBC or ,heaven forbid,NV. And I'm not talking about Emily and Calvin. Somebody please use your fancy, shmancy computer gizmo skills or whatever to trace this problem. It's real and not a glitch.
In fact my comments have been censored at times, most inconveniently, and important lengthy comments, at that.
For example, all that I typed above would appear in the prepost window but not appear in the "Comment Preview".Or it would appear in "Comment Preview" and then when I clicked on "post comment" button only the first sentence would appear.
Then whenI would go back to edit the comment in the timed space ,the whole comment was gone. It's not a glitch.
Funny thing, though, these people who are doing this forget that this is routed through different servers and there is a history on several main frames, so we will eventually be able to get to the bottom of this, sooner or later. AT&T articles sound familiar?

I don't know whether there's enough evidence to count as censorship yet. I've had some weird bugs in my usage, such as being unable to click 'accept' to accept a new friend. When I sent a bug report, all the bugs I have reported so far got fixed fairly quickly. I tend to think it's HAL playing tricks. He does that often, via Vista especially. HAL has stolen my audio and won't let me reinstall it:-(

Pamela Drew, you have to understand the thinking of these guys at the top. Sure, the "surge" of troops in Iraq was actually two months later, but in their minds, they are remembering discussions, closed door sessions, and actual directives of "how it will play out". (Frankly, an example occurred recently in the Obama camp when the reporters were herded on a plane so Obama could get his marching orders from the Bilderbergers at a hotel nearby.)

The events on the world stage are set to script months before the curtain rises for us to see. What we are seeing is a "glimpse" into that process, and it manifest in a momentary glitch of a candidate in a Presidential campaign. With Diebold units fully capable of "backdoor adjusting" and controls in place nationwide, the expected results are assured. (If we get to have an election.)

Under Marshall Law, nothing is certain. The fiscal year for the U.S. government ends September 30, 2008. There is tremendous pressure to get a lot happening by then, perhaps even a false flag event to justify attacks on Iran. I pray that scenario is thwarted, that the worlds evil ones are stymied for a bit longer.

Good post, and your insights are appreciated.

I do understand the innerworkings of government from working in a Congressional office and then eight years as a Beltway Bandit selling high tech networks. Well they were high tech for the Regan era of computing. You're right though about orchestrating it all and a Bible for any who want to know both the mechanism and names of the core control is Antony Sutton's book on Skull and Bones and the companion one, Fleshing Out the Skull and Bones that is built on it.

The second includes sample chapters to read online and includes full membership list in the index that goes by graduation year and last name. It is very helpful in knowing which businesses will benefit from bailouts and unfair subsidies and trade negotiations too!!

No kidding? I used to read that all the time and get email updates every day. Then it vanished about a year ago and after a few months of checking I figured it was just too hard for Jesse to keep the site alive. I'm glad it isn't gone and will need to go update all my contact info there. Jesse, the creator was a news guy in NYC and following 9/11 realized the news lies. Heck I even did a telephone interview on his radio show in like 2004, when folks were still calling talk about gmo food conspiracy theory. My pleasure, knowledge is power and we the people need every bit of power we can muster. Plus after years of digging in the muckiest muck there's nothing happier than sharing. Love it!!

There are used copies around on EBay too, though I try to support Trine Day whenever possible. I did see Trine Day was out of stock on it now. I go to them because I'll always try to opt for small, free enterprise over corporate institutions but with these Bonesman books, Trine Day had it when mainstream had it banned. They need the income to keep the rebel presses running and it's good to try to put a little extra in the pockets of my own kind.

Another great book that I found at Trine day but doesn't seem to be there now is this.. Everything You Know Is Wrong - The Disinformation Guide to Secrets and Lies - edited by Russ Kick -

There's a whole long summary of contents but a few of my favorites are below and keep in mind this was published in 2002. Think how long the Congress has covered up what was actually available information!!

If you depend on the tube or the Times for all your news, you probably missed a few important stories. The section "Not on the Nightly News" will fill in some of the gaps. To begin with, there's the startling number of accidents, near-misses, and other problems in nuclear power plants, a subject near and dear to nuclear safety engineer David Lochbaum's heart (his "Fission Stories" tells all).

The attacks of September 11 are still being analyzed from multiple perspectives, and in "911 and Beyond," we bring you some early attempts to figure out that overwhelming day. "The Accidental Operative" is Camelia Fard and James Ridgeway's groundbreaking look at the Taliban's unofficial US ambassador, who just happens to be the niece of a former CIA Director.

Alex Burns, editor of the Disinformation Website, looks at militant Islam's literal worship of the atomic bomb, as well as the complexity of the terrorist mindset, in "A Canticle for Osama Bin Laden." In the wake of the anthrax attacks and the looming threat of widespread biowarfare on the US, Naomi Klein (of No Logo fame) shows us in "Battle Boring" why America was/is so woefully unprepared.

Finally, in "September 11, 2001: No Surprise," Russ Kick offers a huge amount of evidence indicating that the upper levels of the US government knew what was coming. Call it a conspiracy theory if you wish, but when the Director of the CIA privately warns Congress of "an imminent attack on the United States of this nature," it's hard to reach any other conclusion.

Sh*t!
Now this is what happened to me yesterday after posting my comments on this article.
Immediately I went to Yahoo mail and attempted to send myself a pdf and when I went to the send to button in came back with a message that my contact folder was empty.WoW!
I went to the contact folder and it "was" empty. I almost threw up....then I remebered that I had sent out a mass mailing that included everyone in my contact folder and I went to the sent folder and there was the letter.
I copied and pasted all the contacts and put on my blogger site. I'm going to jail.

FTM, we knew this before Floco posted.

Cheney had his hands full with this weeks before that fateful September morn, and was in his command position way before we have been told.

A cop I know investigated, as good cops are wont to do, by first "following the money" (I thought you would like that). That is de rigeur for homicide and most police investigations, as seasoned veterans know that the words Jesus spoke still ring true today, to wit, "The LOVE of money is the root of all evil." (So many today leave that part out, as if to say money itself is evil, which is absurd.)

Anyway, he wrote a book about it, and it is hard to find (funny how bookstores in the business of selling books bypass so many altogether), but it is on my recommended reading list. The title (abbreviated) is "Crossing the Rubicon" by Michael C. Ruppert. In this book is a detailed analysis of Cheney's activities, and let's just say I would hate to have to go hunting with the guy, and if forced to, would try to never turn my back on him (especially if he is carrying a loaded shotgun).

This is the same "sweetheart" that headed up Haliburton, which is now fast and furious building concentration camps all across America and ensuring a huge stockpile of plastic "coffins" are on hand.....for what? Whatever it is, it doesn't bode well for those of us with the temerity to question authority.

Steve Mock...

You appear to contradict yourself. If the results are assured, then we either will or will not have an election.

There are many, many sources I could give you re: electronic voting machines and the bald-faced fraud we have all been fed already. Here is a very recent aside to that which succinctly answers my statement about the fact that an election this year may be tenuous at best, canceled under worse case scenario.....

First, a note; George Green is NOT some wacko nut case with a microphone, but a very well respected and knowledgeable Dean Emeritus of the banking establishment. His interview is only a half hour or so, but more revealing and enlightening to you than an hour of my typing any sort of reply. The link is: http://www.consciousmedianetwork.com/news.htm

I have a friend, who though born in Iowa, was raised in China, and currently living there with his wife and children. He is fluent in Mandarin (of course), and has close business associates and friends in Beijeng AND Hong Kong. He verifies the economic conditions stated by Mr. Green just a few days ago. There are many business people who have been buying from China that have been told U.S. dollars are now acceptable for only 10-20% of the amount due and payable. In other words, American businessmen with a history of buying are now being told to pay their bill of laden in something other than U.S. dollars?! I know of no case in the history of U.S.-China trade where that was the case. And this is less than a week ago.

Banks are failing. Not just large ones making headlines; in my own town in Florida a client of mine has an Uncle who was refused his withdrawal request by a local bank. I have not seen anything like that in any city, town or state in my lifetime, have you?

The spectre looms before us of the possibility of some event, false flag or otherwise, that results in Marshall Law here in the U.S., which if prior to the elections could very well "postpone", or even cancel them outright. THAT is what I was referring to, NOT anything that smacks of duplicity.

Yes that History link is a beauty, and people wonder why there are so many conspiracy theories about the death of Princess Diana Spencer

among many other retail properties, London's Harrods department store. On several occasions, his efforts to acquire the prestigious retail business had been parried by the British government on technical grounds, and by the mid-1980s, when he held 29.9 percent of House of Fraser, he was contemplating his next move. Rowland wanted to launch another bid for the company, but he was afraid his bid would be rebuffed again by the government, which, he thought, would reduce the value of his stock once the denial was made public. Consequently, Rowland sold his stock in House of Fraser to an Egyptian businessman and former sidewalk Coca-Cola vendor named Mohammed Al-Fayed, whose rise in the business world was a mystery to many.

Which brings us full circle, What's Merrill Lynch to do to find a new source of those 35% profit margins now there little Rhodium/Platinum empire has been sold off to the highest bidder, China.

Merrill Lynch Says .........

An expansion of our "Africa: The Final Frontier" theme, Frontier Markets are under-owned and under- capitalized; they offer uncorrelated returns; and they have strong growth potential. Risk/reward trade-off favors the Mid-East Gulf countries. Valuations there appear to be reasonable, current-account surpluses are large,

In light of this extreme relative performance in such a short period of time, Brazil's relative attractiveness versus the other BRICs has decreased, and short-term investors need to be sensitive to the risk of profit taking. We continue to favor the theme, but this has clearly become more risky than it was six months ago.

You gotta' stop being so paranoid. I

When I worked with the folks at the CIA there was a joke, just because you're paranoid doesn't mean you aren't right! For the record I'm not paranoid, just have a health dose of wise skepticism about a system of corporate government and lap dog media which perpetuates the problem.

When CBS is editing the news to misrepresent a Presidential candidate it is not a stretch to be concerned about what news gets to public view. I have no real technical skills of my own but did enough work with civilian intelligence agencies to know what is possible for those who do have cyberpowers, time and resources.

When I first started writing at Newsvine my primary topic was gmo food and a lot of users accused me of paranoia and conspiracy theory in even suggesting that untested changes had been made to the food supply by the Agent Orange gang. Lo and behold, it was the truth. Given a choice between being excessively skeptical or trusting, I'll always err on the side of assuming the worst is a possibility. In fact, under this regime, reality has generally been worse than any paranoid fear.

And you think your life will improve under Obama. There are global forces at work that no president can mitigate.

BTW, to be totally safe, shouldn't you be consistent about erring on the side "assuming the worst is a possibility."

My cousin worked in a low level clerical position at the CIA, too. Other than that joke, she wasn't privvy to any inside information.

Well I had a security clearance as lead for a prime contractor, awarded an RFP for a communications network and was privy to far more than the joke. What's that got to do with anything?

So are you saying you are not an obamaphile?

What's that got to do with anything?

Good question. You brought up the CIA name drop. Obviously you wanted it to get noticed.

What does your claimed minor CIA clearance have to do with anything? So you had a security clearance for a job. What is your point in bringing it up? Security clearances mean nothing, typically, and are somewhat commonplace for certain jobs and certain facilities.

With that said, relax, Pamela, everyone get's paranoid once in awhile. My mouse pointer would not work this morning. Was it a plot to prevent me from posting...... ;-) In reality all I needed was a new battery.

So are you saying you are not an obamaphile?

That's a heck of a way to rephrase your accusation. Nice way to turn the tables from your mistake to my problem to defend against a false claim. I have never offered support for any candidate but oldfogey when he ran in the Congressional primary and for the record he was on the GoP ticket in another state. If you want to make assumptions, you'd better find some facts to back them up.

I'm generally mistrusting of all politicians and have never offered a single comment that could be construed as even mild support of Obama or anyone else. So far my comments on Obama are limited to criticisms of FISA, though I will criticize anyone in the media offering false attacks against anyone in any position.

I look for spin and truth and could care less who is involved, party, position or past actions. Feel free to challenge anything I say but don't invent material to support a preconceived view of me thank you.

What does your claimed minor CIA clearance have to do with anything? So you had a security clearance for a job. What is your point in bringing it up?

It was in response to your snarky comment that your cousin was a know nothing secretary, too!! It seemed a little classier than saying bite me. The implication was that I'm clueless and the reality is you've got no idea what anyone else knows.

The reality is there are many who know far more than either of us and making assumptions leads to wrong conclusions. You've had a long list of errors just about me and just today, so take the know it all attitude and adjust for unknowns which are nearly always more.

With that said, relax, Pamela, everyone get's paranoid once in awhile. My mouse pointer would not work this morning. Was it a plot to prevent me from posting...... ;-) In reality all I needed was a new battery.

That's the most ridiculous remark I've read in a while. Just because you can invent false connections has zero relevance to anything. Maybe I just know more than you do and the fact that ignorance is bliss gives you a false sense of security. You can't know what you don't know and assuming greater knowledge than you actually have is far more dangerous than assuming there's a possibility that there are things you don't know that lend credibility to claims you find extreme. Live and learn.

I wonder if I'm paranoid enough. The redirection lead to mostly dead ends, Nothing on google, but I did get 3 hits using another way. One of them was called NetDuster.com. which appears to be virus like.

I was a Beltway Bandit working for a former covert agent out of Laos in an operation filled with all kinds of former Agency folks. My job was point man so to speak on the RFP from bid to post award transition team, including the benchmarking for preaward evaluations.

To direct and coordinate the procurements that included multiple hardware and software vendors needed to create a global network, back in the days of 300 baud connections and 5MB removable disk drives with tape backups, any network was a beast that required a multivendor effort and mega coding by uber programmers in Unix.

My participation in the project was just under two years and involved other civilian groups like State Department and Treasury Office of Saudi Affairs, a group that ceased to exist post Reagan. I was gone when it was disbanded and folded no clue where the functions went.

That was my comment that started the brooha; it's true, especially now with retroactive immunity. As for job stories, they're not any more exciting than most jobs, lots of desk sitting with a phone, a calculator and a pencil. Boring meetings with stuffed suits and spit shined shoes and the like. Except for one really freaky visit to Defense Mapping and routinely freaky meetings at Perot's EDS, the best part was the income. If I knew then what I know now, or even recalled folks by name maybe I'd have a lot more intrigue to share. As it stands I just know how the $500 hammers get sold and can do that in my sleep, which helps in tracking the crooks though!!

We are back. We never really left...we just stopped the newsletter to redesign the site. The newsletter is back now.
Check out the new news pages:

It will work with all browsers.

When you go there click on the little tab at the very top of the site called EXPLANATION. You'll understand how media deception works in general.

PS...thanks for the kind words...I saw traffic coming in from this link so I followed it:-)
Peace,

I have tried repeatedly to no avail. I have never had a noisy screen pop up as an error: "Microsoft Windows cannot open the site...." and "Operation Aborted". The last is a new one. I never, ever saw "Operation Aborted" before on anything.

Has anyone else experienced this? Are you able to reach Jesse's site?

Something Wicked This Way Comes....

As I mentioned somewhere, friends overseas have been warning of blocks to US network sites for over a year now. With all the telecom activities the Bush regime have been involved with, there's no telling what exactly what is going on. The suggestion was made that the US was going to have access to news sources restricted, but it is based on areas. Folks in Manhattan which survives on up to the minute, global trading information are not able to have the same restrictions that some other areas do. The financial markets can't have information restrictions so its anyones guess now.

Was wondering about all this. I am fairly new to the vine and have had a couple of comments dissapear. Not collapsed or marked as deleated, they were just gone, as were a couple of seeds I commented on, the whole thing was gone. Not in my tracker or anywhere I could find. The seed about the Super court overturning the gun law in Washington was one.

A few of us who have been around for a while always like to default to censorship and conspiracy theories, just to be on the safe side! ((grin)) In fairness there are always glitches with server upgrades, but there are also links that have vanished with none of those conditions to blame.

We know there are censors beyond Newsvine that mess with news things especially coming into the US. Since we have some uber-tech folks around the globe who monitor what happens to news items that vanish, we know Bush vacuum and sweep powers go far and wide. Things are blocked by global region and at times it affects vine seeds with no involvement of the Newsvine staff.

There will always be larger forces at work then any of us will understand. The small clips and slips that we as civilians are able to catch once in a while are not even a fraction of what is actually going on.

The two presidential hopefuls that were chosen FOR US are both the same side of the same coin - they cater to the same people, they just have different masks on...

We as individuals need to realize that there is nothing we can do alone, we need to stand together and quit bickering about who is going to be better for us in office because the truth is - neither of them are. The perpetual war will continue and new evils will be revealed no matter who steps up to that podium in December.

This glass facade that has been so delicately laid for the world will indeed shatter, we need to be prepared for it and stand with each other instead of against each other - as the lower class of the two in this regime they will let us destroy each other while watching from the top of the hill in safety.

There is no conspiracy, we are just shielded from the truth.

I wasn't blaming any of the newsvine people. It was just something I noticed. My paranoia level about the govt being what it is I wonder if maybe this whole Newsvine thing might not be some homeland security plot to round up names of all the malcontents for further review. I don't really care. I am working on getting old and Cuba is warm in the winter.

That's okay, we understand. Some of us have been watched like hawks for a long time. You need to remember that with a corporate government the information on individuals has been perfected right down to which types of toilet paper we buy. Every financial transaction, medical condition, every detail of our lives that has a paper record can be accessed by those who want it.

Claims of lacking the ability to gather intelligence are hugely overblown. For heavens sake the biotech companies can track the DNA in their crops in every corner of the globe and have been tracking me since I announced I was making a film about the corruption of the food supply.

Back then Newsvine was nothing but an obscure little site in a deep corner of cyberspace yet they found me within 72 hours of launching the site, almost instantly in terms of intelligence. These companies are the leaders in the War on Drugs. They know who is where and they are watching.

At the time it freaked me out a little, but the best protection is to keep speaking out. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself. Keep writing and spreading the truth and we'll win.

There's nothing private on my side. It was meant simply to agree that people who don't think invasion of privacy by Uncle Sam is a problem will believe what they want, but the same folks who run the banking and mega databases run the intelligence operations.

Despite claims of needing more tools have us profiled right down to our preference for wiping with one ply or two. There's a link in the comment above it to the biotechs who track me and my documenting of them watching me. Does that help? For the record I think the tables will turn. :~)
