Kucinich To Seek To Reverse House Action That Terminated The Special Inspector General For Iraq Reconstruction Washington, Nov 3 -
A provision buried deep inside a large Defense Authorization Act, recently passed by Congress and signed into law by the President, would terminate the office of the Special Inspector General for Iraq Reconstruction. The Special Inspector General for Iraq Reconstruction office, responsible for exposing waste fraud and abuse in Iraq, is to close on October 1, 2007. The provision- which was not in either the House or Senate passed legislation-- was slipped into the bill in a closed door Conference Committee with no debate and with few Members of Congress even knowing.
Well come on now. We can't have the American people knowing that Halliburton is charging us $45 for a case of Coke now can we? HA. That would just be silly. We're on a need to know basis here. And God forbid the Congress, aka the purseholders, learn of any expenditure fraud especially if it is a Dem House.
This system needs a major, major, major overhaul.
It is mind bogglig how broken and blatantly corrupt the Congress is. It runs like a lobbyist, organized crime ring.
Stop giving away their business model, Pamela.
That's all we muckrakers do, shove the dirt around!
